Mission

The Woof & Wag 5K Run/Walk was founded with the central goal of raising funds for the Colorado Humane Society.  The Colorado Humane Society has been providing humane shelter and compassionate treatment to lost, abused, and abandoned animals to not only the Denver area, but nationwide, for over 125 years. Organized in 1881, they are the oldest animal shelter in Colorado, and one of the oldest institutions in Denver.

They are dedicated to the welfare of animals. Specifically, they shelter, treat, and place thousands of animals for adoption every year. They also educate people about how to better care for their pets.
